Hello. I’m Rosie and this is my blog. I have been blogging on and off since about 1998 and before that I kept paper diaries… you remember those leather (or pleather) bound notebooks with a lock and key. I use to save my money and buy them for $4-something at Newberry’s. I’d never fill them up to the end.

With every new blog my idea is to create a well manicured, curated, beautiful blog about only one topic, like health and diet, crafting, home decor, etc… but it always ends up as a catch-all of everything that’s on my mind. So this time, I’m just gonna be honest with myself and you… this blog has the potential to pretty much be about about anything.

“La Vida Encantado” means “The Enchanted Life” in Spanish. I chose it in part because I think life is enchanting, it can be anything you make it to be… even magic. I also chose it as a nod to my Mother’s New Mexico (Land of Enchantment) roots.

I’m 43, based out of Northern California. I’m originally an Oakland Native. I was bamboozled and now I’m somewhere lost in the Valley. I spend a lot of my free time trying to master cooking Mexican food and making Tortillas (and/or counting my Weight Watchers points). I like crafting (mostly just shopping for craft supplies), shopping for pretty much anything, thrift stores and especially Flea Markets. I like changing things around in my home. I don’t really have a style… it’s a mixture. I’m working toward having a home filled with only things I love. I think of myself as an introvert, but some might disagree.

I’m a Mother of 3 girls… my oldest is my human daughter “TheVPrincess” who is 311 months old. “Penelope Alexandra Reyes Texas Singer” was my first fur baby… she was a 4.5-5lb Chihuahua who gave me her life… I picked her up at 8 weeks old from her breeder and she died in my arms almost 18 years later. She was my best friend, when she left she took a part of my heart with her.

My newest baby is “Tallulah Bella Tina Turner Reyes”. Tallulah is about two years old, she’s a 6lb chocolate drop of a Chihuahua. We fell in love at the city animal shelter last July. I pretty much knew she was gonna come home with me within 5 minutes of meeting her. Now that the honeymoon is over and we’re getting to know each other… we have a bit of a power struggle going on, but we’ll work it out someday…

This is pretty much me in a nutshell… if you have any questions feel free to leave a comment.

XoXo, Rosie
